This 1983 arcade classic simply refuses to lay down and die. The game was re-released in high definition for PC gamers in 2006 and now the game will be available to PS3 and Blu-ray player owners in glorious 1080p.

The game has been digitally restored and enhanced with a new 5.1 surround mix and the video has been transferred directly from the original film, cleaned frame by frame to give a more vibrant image.

"I've seen the newly restored footage and it just looks amazing," says Don Bluth, original creator of Dragon's Lair. "It looks even better than I can remember. The visuals, the 5.1 surround sound audio, all I can say is 'Wow!' Now a whole new generation can enjoy Dragon's Lair all over again."

The game will also include a wealth of special features in 1080p, including brand-new interviews with creators Don Bluth, Gary Goldman and Rick Dyer, plus a full length visual commentary of the game.
