Lightning Strikes DLC hits this year.
The second DLC expansion for MMO DC Universe Online will be released late this year, according to SOE.
The Lightning Strikes DLC will include the game's eighth power set, Electricity Powers, as well as an adventure starring The Flash.
Additionally users will see a new Central City map, gear, and characters including Livewire, Black Lightning, The Top, The Trickster, and Static.
Lightning Strikes will be available for free to all Legendary members, however it will cost Premium and Free users $9.99.
DC Universe Online recently reached 1 million players after going free-to-play.

I know it's F2P now, but with my slow but expansive internet connection, downloading the client itself would take days, plus it's gonna end up costing me something like NZ$40 (we have bandwidth caps in New Zealand)... Blah, guess I'm gonna be giving it a miss again.
You know having all these content available online is well and good, but it's getting harder and harder for folks with slower net connection like myself to survive as a gamer in this modern day world... God I kinda miss the good old days when I used to log onto BBSs with my 2.4k modem to play door games...
