Cricket 14 - not to be confused with the heavily-delayed Ashes Cricket 2013 - is in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One alongside the previously announced Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions, Big Ant Studios has announced.
It isn't yet known whether the game will release in the UK (Big Ant has only confirmed an Australian release so far), but next-gen users should be able to play an imported version without too much trouble: Both PS4 and Xbox One are region-free.
A release date for the next-gen versions has yet to be confirmed but are expected "mid-next year". The 360, PS3 & PC versions release later in 2013.
Cricket fans appear to have sided with Big Ant following the saga behind the delay of Ashes Cricket 2013.
The title was pushed back to November earlier this week after Trickstar Games and publisher 505 Games admitted that the game "wasn't good enough".
It had originally been due to launch in June but was delayed to July two days before launch. After promising clearer communication with fans, 505 announced that the game had been delayed by a further four months just two days prior to the end of July.
Big Ant released the first footage of Cricket 14 last week. You can give it a watch below.
