Black Ops is the best-selling PS3 title ever

Activision makes boast while announcing the release of the First Strike map pack.

Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops is the "No.1 best-selling PlayStation 3 title ever," Activision has announced.

The publisher cited data provided by NPD, ChartTrack and GfK.

Activision's claim puts the military shooter ahead of Sony's Gran Turismo 5 which had shipped 6.37 million copies as of December 2010.

The info was dropped into a press release promoting the availability of the First Strike map pack on PS3.
