CEO Bobby Kotick on the future of the Call of Duty franchise.
With Activision set to merge with Vivendi, creating Activision Blizzard, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has outlined future plans which could see the massively successful Call of Duty franchise enter the MMO arena.
"When you think about other properties that we own and control like Call of Duty, and what would be the natural evolution of a property like Call of Duty into a massively multiplayer environment...how do you monetize that?" said Kotick at the Morgan Stanley Technology Conference in California.
With Blizzard's expertise in the MMO market, such a move for the Call of Duty franchise suddenly doesn't seem that far fetched.
