Won't form part of the Cagney update, but will be 'coming to Paradise soon'.
Over on the official PlayStation Blog, Criterion Games designer, Simon Phipps, has revealed that the free-roaming city racer is to be updated to support the Trophy system that was implemented with the now available firmware 2.40.
"... talking of upcoming PlayStation-specific features, we'd like to confirm here that Criterion WILL be supporting PlayStation Trophies in a future update of Burnout Paradise. It won't be the Codename: Cagney update, but Trophies will be coming to Paradise soon," explained Phipps.
In the same blog post Phipps also discusses the new Timed Challenges feature that will form part of the Codename: Cagney update - full details here.

Nice to see burnout on there, but I would off expected COD4 to fall into the limelight for the trophies.
