Speaking to CVG, BioShock 2 audio lead Michael Kamper has revealed that while he is very much in favour of BioShock brand expansion, he can't speak of any future plans in the area.

"Personally I would love to see all of those things [books, comics, movies, toys] available but I can't speak to future plans regarding any brand expansion," said Kamper. "We have some pretty intense fans who I know would just devour all of that material and 2K's dedication to quality would make sure that every product would be something worth spending your money on."

Brand expansion is becoming more and more commonplace, with the likes of Halo, Dante's Inferno and Dead Space all receiving animated DVD/Blu-ray releases.

BioShock 2 is out now on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Whenever they see potential in making money from a product, they'll milk it. Look at Gears of War and soon Mass Effect.

I so hope they don't sell out =/

Maybe go to the surface in Bioshock 3 and maybe a final return to Rapture in Bioshock 4, but then leave it.
