All-new Bad Company game mode this week

Conquest mode to be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 on Thursday.

EA has announced that August 7 will see the worldwide release of a new game mode for Battlefield: Bad Company on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The free DLC will introduce the new Conquest multiplayer game mode, first made famous by Battlefield 1942. Players are pitted against each other in a fast-paced battle to eliminate the opposing team's tickets. One ticket is depleted for a kill and tickets will quickly deplete by capturing control points.

The mode will be supported on all previously available maps.
