Battlefield 1943 connection issues resolved
Huge amount of server capacity added over the weekend.
DICE has been tirelessly working to resolve some rather crippling server issues for its newly launched Battlefield 1943, and according to its latest update connection problems should now be over.
"We have added a huge amount of capacity to both the Xbox 360 and PS3. Except for some odd glitches in the Matrix you should have no issues connecting or connecting with friends," posted DICE producer Gordon Van Dyke.
"A lot of issues with logging into EA Online have been sorted, but there can still be some odd issues that might not be on our end. Make sure you check that these ports are open and not blocked by your home network or your ISP."
For your information the ports he's referring to are:
TCP Ports: 80, 13020, 18280, 18285
UDP Ports: 53, 3074, 11000-11030, 18285
Van Dyke also offered a few choice Battlefield 1943 facts. On day one there were 29.45 years of gameplay completed on Xbox 360, with five million kills achieved.
