Ubisoft appears to be testing the water for adding cooperative play to a future Assassin's Creed game, according to a survey revealed by The Gaming Liberty.

Survey participants are asked to rate their interest in the "possibility for a friend to join the game in order to help me at any time during the solo mode"

Responses include: "Not interested", "Nice to have" and "Must-have".

The survey also asks how likely you are to buy the game if it was to be released in 2013?

Earlier surveys have proven to provide a real insight into Ubisoft's plans for the franchise. In November 2011 a survey talked about the "confrontation between British colonists and native Americans during The American Revolution" – the setting for Assassin's Creed 3.

I really am enjoying the co-op Wolfpack multiplayer mode in AC3, and was hoping Ubi would build on that for future releases. However, the main single-player story is another thing entirely... and not something I would wish to see interfered with.

I can see a card game now for Assassins Creed: Liberation like with Uncharted.

I bet I will be able to buy a Conner teddy tommorow...I'd rather buy a Jar jar binks one.

Of course we will see a new Assassins Creed in 2013, even if it's not AC4, it's an annual franchise now...
