Army of Two Features

For:PS3  Also On: Xbox 360 Release Date: 7 March 2008

We buddy up to think about how EA can make the inevitable Army of Two sequel a co-op experience to remember.

Army of Two left us feeling a teeny bit disappointed after we managed to blast through its six to seven hour campaign. While the core co-op gameplay, built around the Aggro system is solid, the rest of the game leaves a lot to be desired. We can see that Army of Two has the potential to be a great franchise though, so in the spirit of helping EA produce what gamers want, we've put together our Top 10: Ways to make Army of Two 2 Amazing.

10. Improve or drop vehicle sections

Anyone who's played the shoddy hovercraft sections in Army of Two will know that they're not what gamers want from an action game. The original vision for Army of Two included many more vehicles, so in the sequel we want them to offer more than a way to ferry you from one point to the next. Make them as exciting as the vehicle sections in the Halo series or drop them completely.

9. Improve aiming accuracy

For two guys who are paid to risk their lives in dangerous situations, they're not the best at shooting guns while moving. We know the precision aiming lets you get a better shot, but it's too slow and not really usable when out in the open. From time to time in Army of Two you want to burst into a room and take guys down, and a little more accuracy in the standard aiming view wouldn't go amiss.

I like the idea of having 4 people on the same team for a vs. 2v2 is cool but 4v4 is nice aswell. The armor and guns need to be a little more customizable too, more colors and sh*t. I loved the upgrades, the problem is once you opened that door you have to provide us with more lol. ALSO please leave the clown mask that is my favorite.

To whomever wrote this list of "suggestions", it appears you don't so much want to improve this game as much as you want it to be the other shooters you have already played. I agree that the lightness in tone of the dialog and camaraderie you can develop with your teammates, if you so choose, serve to distance it from the so more "serious" games you've played. Rather than trying to turn Army of Two into other games that alrady exist, why don't you go back to the drawing and come up with some real suggestions. If you don't have time, then perhaps you can just pare your list down to 5 suggestions.

those are all good ideas for improvement but you left out the most important one... being able to sneak up on enemies with a silenced weapon without alerting every enemy in the game :)

love the game tho... completed many times on every difficulty.

This is one of my favorite games. I have it for the ps3 console. I actually beat the game in the summer time but am now leaving a comment. What I found the most disappointing was the shortness of the game, about ten more missions would have been great. I really enjoy how you can upgrade and purchase weapons. Maybe they will let us have more of an armor color (AND PIMPING) selection in the sequel, instead of just picking the face masks. I would like to see the improvemnt of online play, aiming while not in snipe mode, more vehicles, altenate mission choices, and mostly AGAIN A LONGER GAMING EXPEIRENCE. This is still one of my favorite games no matter what because the story line and the need for you teammate while in combat

a wide selection of gun and upgrades. + customize the armor or pimping the armor.
And more levels. also make reloads more detail like seeing the magazine come out and dropping onto the floor.

What I want to see is moves you can do with your teammate instead of just activities like step jump and crap. Also they should let you create a character, and customize the armor and weapons colors.

The game was great to play but just as you get into the mix of things....story complete.A longer storyline would be enjoyable.

Yeh well, i think its a really good game, just need to improve online, if the shooting was like cod4, its a totally different game. Maybe a more destuctable enviroment, i.e battlefield bad company, and more customization online.

Let the weapons do more realistic damage. The anti material rifle for instance should be able to fire through cover and light vehicles. It would be fun to have other vehicles kicking about that can be used. More weapon upgrades would be handy - i.e. infrared to shoot through targets, better use of GPS system. Also the game would be improved through having time limits upon actions, the ability to fail a mission to effect the overall storyline. The armour system is weak. There should be the option to purchase armour or not, and it should effect gameplay more. The weapons load out is strange - i.e. weapons not fully reloading with grenades, special weapons on being replenished if a different weapon is selected. And so on and so forth....

i think the dialogue in the game lightened it up, gave it a sense of humor, which is great after playing halo, CoD4, R6V2 and all the other serious shooters, next-gen is crying out for a shooting game that's funny, and this is one big step towards that!
