Putting forth the thoughts of an AC vet, it looks like many of these are recreations from previous key battles in the series.
The battle over Stonehenge in particular was on of the key events of Ace Combat 04 and one looks to be recreating the battle against the Aigaion flying fortress from Ace Combat 6.

It seems unlikely these could be part of a story-based single player campaign.
So that leads me to speculate that the co-op mode is a collection of classic missions from throughout the Ace Combat series.

Exactly how the Free to Play aspect works is going to be curious.

However, with no mention of a competitive multiplayer mode (which I'm personally happy about) that leaves the door open for new aircraft to be premium purchases without any concerns of people just buying their way to MP dominance.

Project Aces already have an established history of releasing texture packs, new aircraft and additional missions, so that's probably what we can expect.
