SmackDown! Vs. RAW 2007 heads to next-gen
News
THQ has announced that it is bringing its flagship wrestling series, SmackDown! Vs. RAW, to PS3 and Xbox 360.
In addition to the PlayStation 2, and for the second year on the PSP, THQ's SmackDown! Vs. RAW will also be appearing on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This will mark the first occasion that the SmackDown! Vs. RAW game series will grace a non-Sony platform. The 2007 edition, once again in the trusted hands of Yuke's, will feature an enhanced season mode, a new grapple system using the right analogue stick (I guess something different for the PSP version), and crowd fighting.
Online play returns and will include in-game voice chat. Whether or not this turns out to be a good thing will become apparent once you've been beaten for the tenth successive game by a twelve year-old kid.
SmackDown! Vs. RAW 2007 will be out in time for Christmas.

If you're expecting something hugely different and upgraded from the latter PS2 versions you might not want to get your hopes up. The demo has certainly put me off purchasing it.
