VG247 reports - or to put it more accurately, tells a short story - that both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are being remade in HD for PS3.

There's no indication where the info came from, but the gist of it is that both Ico and Shadow of the Collosus are getting the HD remake treatment and will be bundled together on a Blu-ray for release on PS3.

The Fumito Ueda titles are held in the highest regard, each regularly ranking highly in best games of all time lists.

HHNNNGGGG >_< God damn if this is true I'll be so happy. Not because I love the games - having played a couple of hours of SotC before getting hella' bored - but because this compounded with the God of War re-releases means that Metal Gear remakes are more likely ^_^

mmm. Upgraded graphics versions of both games would be very good to have indeed. It would be a must have for me.

We can hope. It would make sense to do it. The GOW pack done alright so it would make sense and would probably sell more than the originals did when released on the PS2. Think ICO sold less than 1m copies.

Looks like this might be a Q1 2011 release.

Having only ever played the demo of ICO, this is the perfect opportunity for me to catch up on these two classics. Really looking forward to this.

Well if 30 Rock is anything to go by then it's a traditional American business model.

Probably. Although a 'phat' looks nicer, I'm a tad concerned with the amount of YLoDs affecting the older models, going by other forums. Still, we'll see in the future. Heh, I wouldn't be surprised if both Sony and MS deliberately introduced those errors to cut down on the preowned market as well, ahead of the software companies! :p

Hmmm... this is the sort of thing that may tempt me to purchase a PS3... but I'll still need a few more to seal the deal, as it were.

That VG247 article was a waste of time.

I'm guessing they could show some The Last Guardian at E3 then say if you wanna play from the previous games from the developers then here's your chance.

I'd buy it.

The CD I won as part of the LOL comp has a song about SotC on it, sounds quite depressing.
