Warriors actor suing Rockstar
Rockstar's adaptation of the cult movie The Warriors is causing the publisher more legal trouble, but not because of its graphic violence.
Roger Hill, who player gang leader Cyrus in the movie, is suing Rockstar and Take-Two, claiming Rockstar had no right to use his likeness in the video game. Apparently Rockstar approached Hill with a deal to use his voice and name in the game, but this was rejected and that was the last he heard of the matter.
Take-Two don't think they've done anything wrong - a spokesperson telling New York Daily News that the company "has a valid third-party license for the rights to use Roger Hill's likeness and the character of Cyrus in The Warriors videogame and related marketing materials."
Hill sees things a little differently and wants $250,000 from Take-Two, plus a court order banning the publisher from using his likeness. According to Hill, Take-Two shouldn't have too much trouble digging up the money as the game has earned the publisher around $37 million.
