20th Century Fox has acquired feature rights to EA's The Sims.
Variety reports that EA's The Sims is to be made into a live action motion picture. The life simulation series has sold more than 85 million units worldwide.
"The Sims has done an interactive version of an old story, which is what it's like to have infinite power and how do you deal with it," said The Sims Studio head Rod Humble. "Given that that's an old story, you can imagine how easily that would translate to traditional story telling."
A director and cast have not been named.
