"I did as you asked boss. Oblivion has been taken care of."

In a week full of new game releases, it is last week's top two that remain in the top places, albeit having played a bit of musical chairs. Having seen sales fall by 55%, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has dropped one place to No.2. The Godfather also saw a drop in sales, but at only 3% this was good enough to propel it to the top of the chart.

This week's highest new entry is Animal Crossing: Wild World on the DS, jumping straight in at No.6, and in doing so it becomes the fourth fastest selling DS game in the UK, behind Super Mario 64 DS, Mario Kart DS and Wario Ware Touched!. Two other new entries also make the top ten: Far Cry Instincts Predator for the Xbox 360 (No.8), and Championship Manager 2006 for the PC (No.9). While charting at No.9 isn't too bad in a week of numerous new releases, first week sales are around a quarter of what Championship Manger 5 managed in its first week.

The new entries continue with Blazing Angels from Ubisoft at No.12, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown at No.14, OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast at a disappointing No.17, and CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder on PC at No.33.

Next week will surely see Lara back on top (pun intended), with the release of Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend on Xbox 360, Xbox, PlayStation 2 and PC. Other titles hoping for some attention are Top Spin 2, Guitar Hero (limited supplies could hurt its chart position), Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Essentials, and Tokobot.
