WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 this autumn

Sports entertainment returning to 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, DS and Wii.

THQ and JAKKS Pacific have announced that WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 will be released this autumn on Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, DS and Wii. The game is the latest in the long-running series that has shipped more than 47 million units to date.

As well as confirming that the game is in development, the cover stars for this year's game have also been revealed as John Cena, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Edge and Rey Mysterio.

“John Cena, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Edge and Rey Mysterio are incredible WWE Superstars who represent the athleticism, creativity, individuality and strength of today’s live WWE programming,” said Brian Coleman, vice president, global brand management, THQ. “These powerful traits symbolize our vision to give players extensive creative freedom and make WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 the most authentic, entertaining and compelling simulation of live WWE programming to date.”

Few details have been revealed about the new game, but THQ has stated that 2010 will "deliver player freedom never before experienced in the SmackDown vs. Raw franchise". More will be unveiled as we approach Summerslam in August.

Rubbish. THQ are all talk, when it comes to WWE, because they need to keep the gullible hanging on, year-on-year. I like a lot of their games, but this franchise is nothing more than a sour milking farm. They don't care, because people keep paying.
