Recent rumours that Capcom is developing a Wii port of Resident Evil 4 have been confirmed to be true, with Japanese video game magazine Famitsu revealing the first details.

The game will feature reworked controls to take advantage of the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, with aiming and knife thrusts now mapped to motions of the Wii Remote.

The Wii edition will also contain the extras found on the PlayStation 2 edition, including the new Ada Wong 'Separate Ways' campaign.

There are no details on how the game will shape up visually, but given that Resident Evil 4 was one of the most stunning games on the GameCube there's little to worry about in this department.
