Pro Evolution Soccer 6 Review

What matters most is how PES 6 plays, and it plays very nicely indeed. Unless you spend most of your time playing alone, you won't be disappointed by either version, but the 360 game lacks features.

DISAPOINTING!!!!! » Go to Mikey's original post I have to say pes6 is a complete let down, it arrived in the post on thursday last week and by monday i went to trade it in, the graphics on the 360 re horrid, pes 5 looks and plays far better. And it shows in the shops how bad it is when game and gamebattles both priced it at £39.99, when i took it in to trade i got offered £21 and £25 respectively thats how poor this is, the game makers have really let us down in my opinion Reply

I've also played it on a friends 360 and I have sympathy with you guys. 360 owners may as well get FIFA as Konami have taken the 'Mick' with that version. PES6 graphics and player animation on the PES2 whilst not a thing of beauty, have improved but more importantly, the game plays beautifully! Report Reply

DISAPOINTING!!!!! » Go to Mikey's original post I must say, im always one to fly the flag for pes, but i am very disapointed with what they have put on the shelves from a 360 point of view. although the AI and gameplay in general has improved somewhat, i cant understand why they have taken a step back and withdrawn alot of stadiums...eg anfield, old trafford. another disapointing thing is that the player stats have been removed. this is a shame because if you are a huge fan of the master league u will understand me when i say not having player rating..etc not available is a huge disapointment. sound, and commentary seem to have been a cut and paste situation here, very disapointing... i might have found a possible bug, so i would like ppl to let me know if they are having the same problem with there 360 version. i have put the transfer market on the hardest level.. tried to buy lahm who is valued at 7k, i offered 19k and still had my bid turned down, then offered as a experiment gerrard as a trade plus 19k and my bid was yet again rejected... this has been the case for 2 tranfer windows now and cant seem to sign anyone.. Overall result, rather than give a number out of 10 this is wat ill say, *shakes head and thumbs down at konami's lack of effort put into this game, especially into the next-g 360 console.....POOR EFFORT!!!! on the flip side this is prob ea sports fault for once again not lifting the bar high enough with there fifa07 version... DISAPOINTING!!!!! » Go to Mikey's original post As a pro evo fan, i really did think that my years of loyalty to KANAMI would pay off. Every year i look forward to playing the new Pro Evo. I even brought the 360 thinking that it would be fantastic, expecting some big changes this year. I played it and found that i was dissapointed in some aspects but found other parts to be great. Im am seriously annoyed that they have took the edit option out, because as we all do, get the update and its fantastic, im not sure there will be a way of updating this version though, any rumours?. The game play as always is superior to fifa but i am still annoyed at the commentary, i have took to downloading cd's on to the 360 and listening to that instead whilst playing. Next year i would be happy to continue with this game play if only the music and commentary would improve. it is driving me mad. I really cant undersatnd what the issue is with the licensing of the teams and kit, this is the biggest seller between pro evo and fifa and still they will not pay out. i am enjoying this version but it appears rushed to me so lets hope they get the things right that loyal pro evo fans are asking for. I don't no how much Konami paid x box 360 to hype it up!!! overall i think the gaming ideas are gud, but the have screwed up on the editing etc. i think thats its almost to easy hit keeper or the keeper saves a shot that almost impossible to save in real life. playing against each other(2 player mode) its almost to easy. Oh the one thing that really p***s me off is that back that u can score after about 3 passes??? does that happen in real life Reply

Those who beg to differ havent got a clue about football! With regards to players moaning about shooting the shooting.. why expect to hit the target when a player is off balance or its on his wrong foot? Its all about making the correct decision at the correct time once you realise this its such a better game than pro evo 5. Attacking down the wings reaps far better rewards also as players can be positioned expertly in fantastic goal scoring positions with the use of the R2 button and i've scored many a great goal with intelligent wing play. Konami really have to sort the online problems quick though, but 2 vs 2 is exceptional with 3 other online players joining in the fun. Buy this game people! Easy to pick up and play.. difficult to master! Quality! Reply

Reply
