Pro Evolution Soccer 6 confirmed for PS2

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe confirm Pro Evolution 6 for PlayStation 2.

Speaking to Pro-G at the recent ELSPA International Games Summit, David Reeves, SCEE president and COO, confirmed that Konami are already working on Pro Evolution Soccer 6 for the PlayStation 2.

"In the UK there is still 50% of the software to be sold. Konami will come out with PES5 in September or October and they're already developing six for PS2 for next year because they are confident that as the installed base goes up they will make money from it," said Reeves.

This news will be pleasing for those not wanting to move to the next generation consoles in order to get their football fix. However, this doesn't rule out the game appearing on next-generation consoles. Check back on Monday for the full interview with the Sony SCEE chief.

i am saying i ahve a choice at christmas. fifa 07 and the new pro evo. how am i suppost 2 no wot there like its my 1st tym getting a football game on 360. :(

What platforms are you talking about Brownie? FIFA plays very diiferently (worse) on 360 than it does on current-gen.

they would have the whole greek league. for e.g like olyimpiakos. thts the only 1 i can think of but theyll have the whole greek main league. :) 2 the other lad yes it is online :)

i have always said i liked fifa all my life but this yr it chnaged i dont no about any 1 else but fifa 06 is awfull. it doesnt look real one bit i still prefer fifa 05. but pro evolution were should i start its amamzing it is so real i felt the only downside to it is the commentry is a bit wierd sometimes and i wish they wouldnt have team lie mersy side red y cant they have the proper name. oh well its ace anyway. btw is pro evo 6 comin out on ps3 if so when?
