Spider-Man 2 star joins Prince of Persia cast

Alfred Molina to play the role of Sheik Amar, a mentor to the prince.

Variety reports that Alfred Molina, star of Spider-Man 2 and Species, has signed on to play the role of Sheik Amar in Disney's Prince of Persia movie.

Molina joins a growing cast which now includes Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan, Gemma Arterton as Tamina and Ben Kingsley whose role is currently unknown.

Jerry Bruckheimer is producing, with shooting scheduled to begin in July in the UK and Morocco.
