MGS series sales top four million in six months

No specific figures on Metal Gear Solid 4, but it's assumed it accounts for the large majority of the total sales.

Konami has announced its financial results for the six month period ending September 30, 2008, posting a net income of 146.9 billion Yen.

The highlights for the period include the Metal Gear Solid series and the PES franchise. Although not detailing sales of Metal Gear Solid 4, Konami has reported sales for the series as a whole of 4.33 million units. In the same period Konami's football titles - not PES 2009 as this was released in October - sold 1.83 million units.
