Namco has dissolved the Katamari Damacy development team and series creator Keita Takahashi has moved onto pastures new.
Namco has closed the game's official Japanese website and replaced it with a message that could well bring a tear to the eye for many fans of the series. According to a translation by Gamasutra, the message says that Doctor Katamari (series creator Keita Takahashi) has moved onto a new project and that the rest of the development team has been dissolved.
For gamers in PAL land we can at least look forward to Me & My Katamari on the PSP in May.
