Play Guitar Hero on stage

Gibson Guitar is offering Guitar Hero players the chance to play the game live on stage at the Download Festival in June.

Taking place from June 9 - June 11, this year's Download Festival features performances from Tool, Metallica and Guns And Roses. You could be joining these rock greats, performing live on the Third Stage between the main acts. Members of the public who register in advance will reserve a performance slot, and there may be limited opportunities for walk-on performances during the day.

"We're hoping the opportunity to play the Third Stage will encourage Guitar Hero players to move from a virtual Gibson SG to the real thing," said Kelly Sumner. "There is nothing like the thrill of playing to a huge audience - and we're sure they'll appreciate the performances as much as those Guitar Hero players lucky enough to get on stage."

If you are interested in showing off your Guitar Hero skills then you need to email guitarhero@bhpr.co.uk to check for availability. There will also be opportunities to play the game at the Snickers Bowl area that runs through the night once the acts have finished.
