Rockstar has announced that GTA: Liberty City Stories will be released across Europe for PlayStation 2 on June 9.
The port of the previously PSP exclusive title will be available in the US on June 6 for only $19.99. In the UK the game will retail for £19.99, which as you may have already worked out isn't exactly the same low price as in the US. In fact, it works out as nearly double the price, equating to around $35. Moaning aside, Liberty City Stories should prove extremely popular at this budget price.
It's still unknown if the PlayStation 2 version will be an exact port of the PSP game, complete with multiplayer modes. For these to work the game would need support for split screen, online play or system link. It's pretty safe to assume that the game will be on show at E3 in some form or another, so expect to find out for sure in a few weeks.
