Recommendation of the Week:Zack and Wiki

With six new titles hitting stores this week Wii owners are spoiled for choice, but VideoGamer.com's pick of the bunch is Capcom's Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure. What at first appeared to be a motion-controlled title for children has in fact turned out to be a must own Wii game.

It's essentially a puzzle game with some adventure elements and is played in its entirety using only the Wii Remote. It works because of its consistently clever use of the Remote to solve clever yet achievable puzzles. The story might not be particularly interesting, but with plenty of stages to progress through it's the puzzle solving that will keep players coming back for more.

Also out this week
Geometry Wars: Galaxies (Wii, DS): The twin-stick shooter returns with a host of new galaxies to shoot stuff in and without the twin-sticks.

Ghost Squad (Wii): The SEGA Arcade shooter might look a little dated, but it's got the classic light-gun gameplay down to a tee. Short but sweet action and good fun when played with friends.

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams (Wii): A long-awaited follow-up to SEGA's impressive SEGA Saturn Title, NiGHTS on Wii features more of the same fun flying gameplay only now with motion controls.

Wii Chess (Wii): Released at a budget price this virtual recreation of a classic board game might look a little dull to some, but Wii-owning chess fans should lap up the included online play.

And the rest...
Balls of Fury (Wii)
Real Adventures: Wild Horses (DS)
Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition (PC)
Real Adventures: Pet pals (DS)
