God of War II goodies revealed, but no word on the PSP version.
A website uncovered by an Easter egg in God of War II that contained only cryptic images and a countdown clock has timed out, revealing a selection of extras but none of the anticipated information on the illustrious God of War PSP release.
A few weeks ago a Youtube video revealed that at the moment of completing a near impossible 999,999 hit combo in God of War II, a URL appeared briefly onscreen. Inquisitive players that paid a visit to the website were treated to nothing more than images of Kratos above a burning field, along with a countdown, sparking rumours that concrete details on the PSP release were imminent.
As the 'Island of Rhodes' website timed out at midnight on the 11th April, despite speculation that the counter simply reset, God of War II videos, developer commentaries, wallpapers and other information appeared.
Despite providing relatively substantial content for an in-game Easter egg, fans will be disappointed to learn they have to hold out for more information on the hack 'n' slash's move to the PSP.
