God of War: The Movie

Universal has purchased the rights to Sony Computer Entertainment's violent action game.

Sony's critically acclaimed and moderately successful action game, God of War, is to get the big screen treatment. Universal has purchased the rights to the game that sees you play as Kratos, a Spartan warrior who battles the most famous beasts from Greek mythology and eventually the God of War himself.

The movie will be produced by Charles Roven (Batman Begins, Twelve Monkeys) and Alex Gartner. No details on the movie's main cast or director have been revealed, and neither has information on the planned rating for the movie. God of War is one of the most brutal games ever made and this probably won't translate well to a PG-13/12A rating. We only hope that the movie goes down the hard R route so the game can faithfully be translated to a movie.

The one

I'm into epic movies, plus I love the games. From God of war you can make the most amazing movie ever. Forget about the blood and create a mixture between a cheesy troy, the darknest from 300 and the magic of a trilogy as LOR. Then capture the essence of the second part of the game. Definately not a Vin Diesel role unless you want to rip off the integrity of the script. I'm not gay, but the only guy who can pull off a god defiant Kratos is Brad Pitt, shave his head, buff him up and get scars and paints all over. In order to go forward you need to go backwards, think about Kratos before he was a ghost. He was a normal spartan with a family, not a massive action figure.

I think Vin Diesel could pull it off. His voice does match Krato's voice okay as well as his looks. Just turn his ass white and there you go.

wo a god of war movie u say the rock would be kewl but his face aint exactly the same vin deisal has crappy acting but he might be possible this goldberg guy though he might be a little tooo big but hey it would be bitchin seeing him rip zombie soldiers in half

yall are lame goldberg man look at him god of war practically copied him into the game just make him pale with tattoos and scars and give him a bad ass gottee then bam its perfect i mean he acted in that movie the longest yard so there u go

We need a big black guy as kratos man paste his a$$ white and let him go how about the guy from pulp fiction or daredevil They were huge and both very bada$$ ok maybe not the kingpin he was pretty fat instead of cut and buff But still Ving Rhames is huge and very pissed off
