Game will now be released first on PS3 and PS2.
In a shock move, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has negotiated a deal with Atari to publish the upcoming Ghostbusters: The Video Game. The game will be released in Europe and PAL regions on June 19 for PS3 and PS2. A PSP version will follow in the autumn.
“We’re committed to bringing the PlayStation family the biggest and best gaming experiences first,” says Mark Hardy, European Product Marketing Director at SCEE, “and it doesn’t get any bigger and better than this blockbuster title. This summer, PlayStation owners will be the first to grab their proton packs and fight the spirit world. We’d like to wish them the best of luck in their ghostbusting endeavours and, of course, to remind them not to cross the streams!”
According to MCV the game will still arrive on non-Sony platforms, with Atari to publish the games later in the year.
Is this a sign that Sony is stepping up its efforts to drive gamers to the PS3? Are you angry that you'll no longer be able to play the game on 360 and Wii this summer? Let us know in the comments below.

As being a multiplatform gamers exclusivenes does not bother me as I will get the games I want.
But i can see why people who don't own a sony machine will be angry.

Good move indeed and a sneaky one, though I'm thinking Microsoft won't be too pleased about this but knowing them they would have a surprise up there sleeves anyway.

Looking at Sony's history with signing exclusives for the PS3... I hope they haven't just given this title the kiss of death.Last edited on Wed 6 May 2009 by Rogue_Soul

Make the odds even.

It should help sales, if only a bit, as MS has helped 360 sales in a similar way.
Now they just need more full exclusives from 3rd parties.

I'd be more concerned if they took something like Monster Hunter 3 back.
