The Buzz: The May issue of EGM is reporting that Square-Enix plans to unveil Final Fantasy XIII for the PS3 at E3 this May.
According to the magazine we can expect a teaser video of the game, along with an announcement that Final Fantasy XIII will be an exclusive release for the PlayStation 3. EGM stable mate 1up.com is reporting that Final Fantasy XIII's E3 unveiling backs up previous information that the game is in fact close to completion, and that Square-Enix has been holding off on any announcement so not to damage sales of Final Fantasy XII, which went on sale in Japan only a few weeks ago.
Final Fantasy XIII as a PlayStation 3 exclusive wouldn't exactly be a great surprise, but would still be a major announcement for Sony. While Microsoft's Xbox 360 hasn't made the best start in Japan (if it's started at all), a close to completion Final Fantasy XIII for the PlayStation 3 would surely put the final nail in the 360's Japanese coffin.
