Chocobo rearing update for FFXI

Square Enix has announced a new Chocobo rearing feature to be implemented in the next update of Final Fantasy XI.

According to Square Enix the new Chocobo raising gameplay comes in response to requests from fans for such a feature. Players will need to spend up to three months raising their chocobo, from an egg to an all singing, all dancing chocobo (we can't guarantee that your chocobo will do either). Each of the Ostrich-like animals will be genetically unique, and if not cared for correctly will die.

Once your precious baby is all grown up, it can be paired up with another player's chocobo to mate.
