Currys will not be selling Rockstar Games' controversial PS2 game Bully/Canis Canem Edit.
Following a torrent of controversy in North America over the video game Bully (renamed Canis Canem Edit in the UK), UK retailer Currys has decided not to stock the game, despite it only carrying a BBFC 15 rating.
"We're a family-friendly retailer. We don't think this game is appropriate for our stores and have decided not to stock it."
It is the bullying aspect of the game that has caused such controversy, and a quick look at the Currys website shows that the retailer is happy to sell much more graphically violent titles. Titles such as GTA: Liberty City Stories and Scarface: The World is Yours can be bought from the store - albeit titles that do not feature child on child bullying.
