Activision has announced that new guitar and drum kit controllers will ship with Band hero across Europe this autumn.

The revamped drum kit controller features an improved floating drum pad design with quiet drum heads and easy access first party controls for additional flexibility when navigating the game. An updated kick pedal offers players a new level of responsiveness while drumming along to the music, as well as two built-in kick pedal ports for Expert+ difficulty. The entire unit rests upon a newly designed stand offering stability as well as height guides.

The guitar controller shipping with Band Hero in Europe will also feature an improved strum bar and a neck slider to help with accuracy on tricky solos. The guitar controller is finished with chrome effect tuning pegs and a red and white faceplate.

Band Hero features the hottest chart-topping hits from popular artists including No Doubt, Nelly Furtado, Lily Allen, The All-American Rejects and Jackson 5. Music fans will also be able to control some of the leading names in music as in-game artists and playable characters, including singer, songwriter and guitarist Taylor Swift and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine.

Band Hero is scheduled for release this autumn for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PS2.

Too little (changes), Too late (how long has the game been out? And not even released before Christmas when they *might* have sold a few sets), Too expensive (they really expect these to sell at those prices, when most fans of the rhythm genre will already own at least one set already)

There is no need for ANOTHER set of plastic instruments in the market. That being said, GH drums are much better than their RB counterparts, but still

I just have three questions:

1. Can you play the drums as a standalone instrument, or do you have to play the game?

2. Can you download more songs to practice with?

3. Is there a learning mode in the game?

I'm new to this, so bear with me.

Thanks!
