Atelier Iris 3 set for July release

Third chapter in the popular RPG series finds its way onto European PlayStation 2s.

The Atelier Iris series has managed to pick up a strong following in Europe, and although nowhere near the popularity of mainstream RPGs such as Final Fantasy and Zelda, is certainly one of the more popular Japanese RPG series.

Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm is the third instalment in the series and centres around two adventurers called Edge and Iris. The pair discover a magical book which will grant any wish, but the book is missing eight pieces which they must locate before the book can be used.

"With this latest instalment featuring countless improvements and advances we hope that fans of the series will see this as a fitting finale to such a fondly regarded series," said Will Curley, Sales Manager for KOEI Ltd.

Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm will be released across Europe for PS2 in July.
