Welcome to Heads-up, VideoGamer.com's weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.

Recommended: Street Fighter IV - Xbox 360 and PS3
If you don't know what Street Fighter is some people would argue that you don't deserve to know. Capcom's first properly new game in the series for years should go down exceedingly well with long-time fans, casual fire-ball throwing show-offs and anyone willing to learn what is arguably the greatest fighting game engine printed to disc. We could bleat on about the stunning visuals and the superbly implemented online play, but you'll probably be too busy learning how to pull off combos to notice.

Recommended: Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - PC
For many Dawn of War fans this proper sequel has been too long coming, but it's here now and worth getting excited about. With something of a different approach to the campaign than most other RTSs, some really solid multiplayer and just about the best visuals we've seen in an RTS, Dawn of War II should be all fans wanted and more. We can't say much more right now, but check soon for our full review.

Also worth a look
50 Cent: Blood on The Sand - Xbox 360 and PS3
This surprised us when we went hands-on with it a few weeks back, with the first few levels proving to be pretty entertaining. Built on the Unreal Engine 3 there's certainly more than a passing resemblance to Epic's Gears of War 2, but there's an added emphasis on combo building here, and Fiddy's music, making it something a bit different.

Race Pro - Xbox 360
If you like proper racing games then you should be excited about the first next-gen racer from GTR developer SimBin. From what we've seen Race Pro should be a hardcore fan's dream come true. Expect our review soon.

Rogue Trooper: Quartz Zone Massacre - Wii
Released on the PS2, Xbox and PC back in 2006, this quite excellent third-person shooter based on the 2000-AD comic has been given another chance to shine on Wii. If it can at least live up to the original Wii owners should have an action game to get excited about.

Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection - Xbox 360 and PS3
If you loved your Mega Drive and want a convenient way to play almost 50 of its best games (although in truth a handful are arcade and Master System games), add SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection to your shopping list right now. If you've never played a Mega Drive game before, now's your chance.

Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice - PS3
Dragon Quest: Hand of the Heavenly Bride - DS

Hardcore JRPG alert! We'll admit that we're not hugely clued up about Square's latest Disgaea sequel for the PS3 and its Dragon Quest series in general, but we do know that lots of people love the series. If you're one of those people we doubt you need us telling you about these two, but if you're not and love a bit of old-school RPG action, they're probably well worth a look.

And the rest
Eledees- Adventures of Kai and Zero - DS
Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked - Wii
Nerf N-Strike - Wii
X-Blades - Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

I noticed X-Blades on the list, then did a little looking around and noticed the mediocre review scores (61% metacritic), then found a video review for the PS3 version over on Spaziogames.it which makes the game look (visually) like a 9/10, then noticed that IGN reckons the 360 version runs better, then couldn't figure out why IGN gave the graphics a 6 whilst Gameradar note the 'very solid visual presentation'.

Looks like a love it or hate it, and when these come about I usually love them, so I'm going to risk a £29.99 or less on Friday.
