Rumours of massive layoffs at Blizzard are just that - rumours - according to the company.

Speaking to Massively, the World of Warcraft outfit confirmed senior level designer John Staats has left the company, however it was of his own accord.

WoW community manager Bashiok stated: "out of respect for their privacy, we don't discuss individual employees, but the speculation circulating about 'massive layoffs at Blizzard' is just a rumor."

No information has been given on how his departure will affect the development of Project Titan.
