WoW Cataclysm on track for year end

Blizzard won't release expansion until it's ready.

The highly anticipated World of Warcraft expansion, Cataclysm, is on track to launch by the end of the year, Michael Morhaime, CEO and president of Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed.

Speaking during Activision Blizzard's Q2 2010 earnings call, Morhaime said: "I'd like to point the release of Cataclysm being our best expansion yet for World of Warcraft. Although an exact release date has not yet been announced, we are on track to launch the expansion by the end of the year."

As with all Blizzard games, this statement did come with one caveat: it won't be released until it's ready.
