Prince of Persia: Warrior Within hits big at retail

Like it or loathe it, the Prince's new direction has struck a chord with consumers, dwarving sales of the original

Ubisoft recently announced that sales of the multi-format title, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, has doubled sales of the charming original with 1.8 million units in just two weeks.

The game has been ranked at;

- #6 game in the UK ever since its release, all formats combined(1)

- #5 game in the US, all formats combined2, in the first week of its release

- #6 Xbox title in Germany(3)

- in the Top 5 PS2 and Xbox games in France, and the #5 best-selling game all formats combined(4).
