No plans to shut down.
Two servers have been retired in MMO Warhammer Online, BioWare Mythic has announced.
While the servers, Gorfang and Karak-Azgal, have been shut down players can still transfer their characters through the Mythic Account Center, TenTonHammer reports.
This isn't the first time the game has downsized. Earlier in 2011 Warhammer Online lost another two servers but Mythic has emphasised it has no plans on canning the MMO as a whole.
Warhammer Online launched in 2008, followed by the studio's free-to-play MOBA title Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes.
The producer for the MMO, James Casey, recently stated that despite the onslaught of free-to-play titles in the market, subscription-based MMOs are still relevant to users.
Warhammer Online remains a subscription-based game with free trial options but with the amount of downsizing we've seen in the last year it wouldn't be surprising if they pushed the game's free elements forward in order to appeal to a new fanbase.
