Another 18 months to wait for THQ's MMO.
Warhammer 40K: Dark Millennium Online is currently aiming for a March 13, 2013 release date, according to the official website.
This is an upcoming MMORPG based on Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 was initially announced in 2007. It is currently being developed by Vigil Games, however Relic is set to help the process along.
The game has been described as 'special' by THQ head Danny Bilson.

The last Warhammer MMO, Warhammer Online, was hit hard by World of Warcraft when it launched. WoW's second expansion coincided with the new MMO, and helped to decimate Warhammer Online's player-base. With WoW's own subscriber-base dwindling, it will be interesting to see how this game does in comparison.

There was more wrong with WO:AOR than releasing at the same time as Cataclysm. Their PvP model is pretty much unrecognisable now from it's launch, lots and lots of revisions to make it more viable. Too little too late though.
And the total lack of any engaging end game PvE was a bit of a bummer too.
It was still massively enjoyable though, just need a whole lot more content after you got above a certain level. 1-25 is brilliant, tails off after that :(
