But this is the same identical game coming out on mulitiple platforms so it should be the same on all and if its the graphics that is the only difference as this will be then that points to needing better graphical capable consoles. I agree with you on games only on pc as they are technically and graphically better because year by year a pc gets upgrades were as a console is stuck with the same from Day one to day end. A game that looks amazing doesn't need to play like a bag O balls and vice versa, graphics only make games more immersive and nicer to look at to be fair but that can make all the difference for some games, take LA Noire for example that was a beautiful looking game really and had some great ideas for gaming that I'm sure will catch on like sliced bread, so I disagree that graphics hinder gameplay and ideas that's just a developer issue if anything not the hardware they've got to play with.

How do better textures improve the gameplay, though?

Consoles are always going to be behind the best PC technology because they're static, but this also allows for a more stable platform where developers don't have to account for every different setup, including the few who have the most up-to-date tech.

Some argue that providing vast increases in graphics actually diverts energy in to providing better gameplay and new ideas.

Not to take anything away from the PC platform, but it's a very different beast, so comparing PC gaming to Console gaming seems a waste of time.

And it's been said that the next gen won't need a big graphical increase, this proves that current gen is holding back developers from what they want to do for us the gamers. Will you do a comparison of the console version and the pc version to show how behind consoles are? Or to show that it's not that bad if thats the case.
