Activision has confirmed that the console versions of The Movies have been cancelled.

During the company's third-quarter financial report conference it was confirmed that the movie mogul sim has been cancelled for the console platforms. The Lionhead Studios game, despite receiving a warm reception from critics, has failed to sell anywhere near what Activision had hoped it would achieve on the PC, and it is for this reason the console versions have been given the chop.
