3 million downloads from Steam's Skyrim Workshop

More than 2,500 mods published using the Skyrim Creation Kit.

Creation Kit, a free tool allowing PC players to create their own custom content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been amazingly well received by gamers, Bethesda has announced.

Within three days of the release of the Creation Kit, gamers have downloaded more than two million mods via the Skryim Workshop on Steam. More than 2,500 mods have been published by the gaming community, all of which are available for free.

Skyrim is the fastest selling title in Steam's history.

Last week saw the release of patch 1.4 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, fixing a host of issues, including performance optimisations for PS3.
