Sword of the Stars demo now online

Lighthouse Interactive has released a demo of the forthcoming strategy title from Kerberos Productions.

The demo weighs in at approximately 230 MB and gives players access to two of the four races from the full game: the Human SolForce and the Tarkas Imperium. For those that know what it means, gameplay is limited to the Fission era and first-gen technologies, but alliances, random encounters and some surprises are apparently included. While you'll get unlimited turns, the galaxy will only be made up of 40 stars.

As well as being able to sample the single-player game, up to four players are able to compete over a LAN or online. The demo can be found on all good download sites, including 3D Gamers.
