Stargate MMO in development

Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment has announced the development of Stargate Worlds, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game for the PC.

Stargate Worlds will give players the freedom to explore the Stargate universe as soldiers and scientists, who must create alliances with other species and defend humanity from hostile alien threats. Details are scarce, but the game will draw inspiration from the Stargate TV series SG-1 and Atlantis.

Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment is a newly formed development studio, but has an experienced management team, who together have worked on several MMO titles including The Matrix Online, Shadowbane, Earth and Beyond and World of Warcraft. At this stage no details on a release date have been announced.
