Will cost significantly more than a traditional packaged game.
EA has revealed that Star Wars: The Old Republic, the ambitious MMO from Mass Effect developer BioWare, is the publisher's most expensive game ever created.
Chief financial officer Eric Brown described the MMO as the "largest ever development project, period, in the history of the company".
Brown added that the project will come in way over the usual $30 million for a packaged game, noting that "any MMO costs significantly more than that".
He also revealed that EA believes Blizzard spent $100 million or more in order to ship World of Warcraft back in 2004. These days WoW is generating over that each month from subscriptions.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is currently targeting a spring 2011 release.

If they can remove the grind to becoming a jedi and give me xwing combat (real xwing, none of that rogue squadron type) with dogfights in space i'd be happier than a pig in sh*t.
