Spock actor to feature in Star Trek Online

Zachary Quinto will voice the game's tutorial.

Atari and Cryptic Studios have announced that Zachary Quinto, who portrayed Spock in last summer's blockbuster movie Star Trek, will lend his voice to Star Trek Online for PC.

Quinto will play the part of an Emergency Medial Hologram and will voice the game's tutorial, teaching fans how to explore the Star Trek Online universe, improve their characters, attain higher ranks, and succeed in space combat and on away missions.

"Being a part of the Star Trek universe has been an incredible experience for me," said Zachary Quinto. "Extending that experience into the gaming space - and sharing it with gamers and trek enthusiasts around the world - makes it even more exciting."

Star Trek Online is scheduled for release on February 2, 2010 in North America and February 5, 2010 across Europe and Australia.
