Splinter Cell pushed back on PC

Will hit stores a fortnight after the Xbox 360 version.

Ubisoft has revealed that Splinter Cell Conviction on PC has been delayed and won't be released alongside the Xbox 360 version on April 16.

The game will now be released two weeks later on April 30. No reason for the delay has been given.

With no PC demo to play, your best bet for getting a better impression of what to expect from Sam Fisher's latest mission is to check out our recent hands-on preview.

Yeh, some thing they have proven the last few weeks, I mean hell PC gamers love DRM.....

stop pissing on ubisoft guys, they know what there doing.
anyway, where all (apart from ps3 only owners) going to be able to play this game in the near future.

An update to the valve thing.

Ubisoft games are only not on Steam UK, thus making me think this has to do with price, its well known people in the UK get games on steam cheaper than the EU and USA, Ubi not happy about this I think.

I'm guessing this is a reaction to Vavle dropping various Ubisoft games from Steam because of the 'always connected' DRM. I assume that SC:C was going to use it and now they've changed their mind because Valve have made a stand.

See, if this was to make the game better id wait. I mean I waited about 3 months more for Dirt 2 and boy was it worth it.

There does seem to be a push towards console gaming lately... perhaps that is where the money lies? I'd quite like to see the stats of console versions of games vs. their PC counterparts...

As I'm primarily a 360 gamer, this news doesn't affect me, but it's still interesting to see why the PC as a platform is being constantly... whats the word?... seen as a pain in the arse.
