The Sims 2 under attack from Jack Thompson

Following on from his attacks on GTA: San Andreas, the infamous attorney has taken aim at EA's The Sims 2.

Jack Thompson is not one to hold back with his words and his latest outburst sees The Sims 2 under attack. Thompson has said that he believes The Sims 2 is "worse than Hot Coffee," adding. "Sims 2, the latest version of the Sims video game franchise ... contains, according to video game news sites, full frontal nudity, including nipples, penises, labia, and pubic hair."

All rude parts on the Sims are normally blurred and even behind the blur there is nothing to see, so says EA vice president of corporate communications Jeff Brown.

"If someone with an extreme amount of expertise and time were to remove the pixels, they would see that the Sims have no genitals. They appear like Ken and Barbie." Said Brown.

In response to this Thompson altered his allegation, this time pointing towards the modders.

"The sex and the nudity are in the game. That's the point. The blur is an admission that even the 'Ken and Barbie' features should not be displayed. The blur can be disarmed. This is no different than what is in San Andreas, although worse."

Commenting on such mods Thompson said "Electronic Arts has done nothing about this," saying EA is "cooperating, gleefully, with the mod community to turn Sims 2 into a porn offering."

This kind of allegation from Thompson may have usually been dismissed, but given the recent investigation into GTA: San Andreas and the resulting 18+ Adults Only rating the game has been awarded, EA may take more notice. I can only hope that Thompson feels the wrath of EA's enormous financial force and decides to call it a day with his video game scandals. This seems rather unlikely though.
